    How to Make Money With Your Own Ebook?

    Do you already have an eBook or have you been thinking of writing one?

    If not, you should start one right away. With an eBook you can work once and create multiple products that stream steady income. It’s an easy and relatively quick process.

    In 2006 I wrote my first book “Start Your Dream Business Today”. It took me about 3 months to write it working about 3 to 4 hours only on weekends, which equated to 40 hours of hard work. After finishing the book, I published it and started promoting it. At that time I didn’t realized that it was actually more difficult to promote it than to write it!

    It took me quite sometime to realize there were numbers of opportunities for me to turn this book into various income streams. Many products could be developed from just one book. I didn’t reinvent the wheel; I just learned from others and implemented their strategies.



    Today, I don’t even sell it as a hardcopy book. At first, I was offering it both as a book and ebook, but after the printing of 500 copies, I realized that I was selling it more as an eBook than as a book. Why? First, it is less expensive. Second, clients can read it immediately after ordering it, which gives them instant gratification instead of having to wait a week to receive the printed version. Third, I saved on shipping costs and the responsibility of going to the post office each time I made a sale. I didn’t have a fulfillment company shipping my products for me at this time.

    Five Easy Steps for Generating Multiple Income Streams from One eBook:

    1. You can turn your eBook into an audio file or CD. You can record yourself reading the book and sell it as an audio format MP3 or a physical CD in addition to the eBook. This adds value because you have the options of selling the audio file separately or the eBook and audio file as a combined unit.


    2. You can create various teleseminars on the same topic. You can take each chapter of your eBook to create and develop a 30 to 60 minute teleseminar. Then you will have as many audios/cds than chapters. I recommend adding some information that is not in the eBook to delvelop deeper into the individual topics.

    3. You can create various special reports featuring extracts of your eBook. Again, I recommend adding additional information to the original chapter and creating a workbook for each report. Workbooks make it easier for people to implement your strategies.

    4. You can create a membership program from your eBook. Let’s say you have at least 12 chapters on your eBook, you can deliver one chapter per month to create your membership program. Adding a workbook for each month’s issue adds value to the membership. For example, instead of just selling the eBook for $20 you can charge $9.97 per month which equals $119.64 a year for each membership. Wouldn’t you like that?
    5. You can offer your eBook promos for another profit endeavor by establishing a relationship with other professionals who use your eBook as a bonus when they sell their own product. This will provide you with instant exposure to additional people from their list. Make sure the eBook that you give to your colleagues adequately promotes your website and products or services. This path is referred to as ‘viral marketing’.

    In just one week I recently added 100 new contacts to my mailing list using this strategy, partnering with another professional who had the same target market as me. These prospective clients probably would have never heard about me had I not used this strategy.

    Don’t think that you write the eBook and it will just sell itself. The real work starts after the end of the writing. Your eBook is not a final sale; it is the first level of your marketing funnel to promote your other products and services and to grow your business.

    As my mentor always says, “Work once, get paid, paid, and paid”.

    Don’t work harder, work smarter. Learn how to recycle your work. You can actually use the exact same strategy to recycle your articles.
